Erm…so this post is a tad late due to technical error…lets go back in time and pretend it’s the first week of July, m’kay.
1.Last week I spent 5 days in the blazing sun + record breaking heat for work. #canadaday #feelslike47. It was intense. I was drenched with sweat the whole time. #TMI #sogross. Benefits included: losing 5 lbs of water weight, losing an additional 5 lbs due to zero access to A&W and their siren songs (ie teen burger + onion rings….my (hangs head in shame) lunch of choice), getting a killer tan whilst wearing 50+ sunscreen, and spending a few night at a downtown hotel meant I got to party like I was 25 again (lols #sad) but I did find a new favorite band whose lead singer leaned out for a final note duet with me which Ryan tells me I nailed…eventually. #dreamscomingtrue
2. I bought this nail polish to jazz up the ‘ol tips for Canada day and hold the phone I. Am. Impressed! I have NEVER had a manicure last longer than a day or two and this lasted CHIP free for over a week. I’m honestly amazed and buying all the colours. Especially this one and this one.
3. Whelp, summer is officially in full swing, and somehow every year I forget how much I actually hate summer dressing. Like, it’s really hard to feel pulled together when all your bits are showing, or vice versa, you are sweating like a hog. Thankfully, I was able to score a few key pieces from my all time favourite JF and will share a round up + ways to wear soon!
4. I am so GD glad that one pieces are in this year (see my A&W addiction above). I have always been a two piece wearer, but I am a total convert, and it’s probably about time.#threekidslater #notasyoungasioncewas. Ryan bought me this one that I thought I would hate but I actually love, and I just bought this one this weekend and I will say the online photo doesn’t do it justice. I also bought these high-waisted bottoms, which I realize does not a one piece make, but on my short torso…almost. Loving them, too
…Although I wholeheartedly believe you should wear whatever the F you want and will probably still be rocking a bikini in my 80’s, not giving AF.
5. Ry and I watched this on Netflix and I cannot stop talking/thinking about it….like, it killed me. Even if you are not normally a Steve Martin or Martin Short fan (although, um….why no? “Get over it” and “ Father of the bride” are some pretty great classics) you WILL find this funny. And if you don’t, you need to re-evaluate yourself, cause this shit is real.
